Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our Fresno State employee art showcase, Multiverse.  This is our first time hosting this event and we are so excited to bring to you this

online exhibit highlighting the creativity of some of our staff and faculty campus-wide.

There are eighteen (18) artists and a total of forty-seven (47) artworks for this year’s showcase.  We are very proud of these artists and will be looking forward to continuing this event for years to come.

Enjoy the artwork!

The Department of Art and Design

Story:

In 2018, Martín Valencia, the Chair of the Department of Art and Design had presented me with his idea of organizing a showcase of artwork created by our Fresno State employees. One stipulation was that NO faculty or staff from our department (Art and Design) would be included. Martín thought this would be a great opportunity to showcase the creativity of the employees beyond our department. While we knew this would be a great event, we needed help publicizing this showcase to get the word out to as many interested Fresno State faculty and staff participants as possible.

The Staff Assembly Executive Committee assisted us in moving forward with this project and they have done a phenomenal job! While our original plan was to host the event on campus inside the Phebe Conley Gallery, plans changed and we immediately switched gears working on a virtual online exhibit and reception. With our combined support, we are grateful to put on this event and website featuring such incredible artwork. I feel fortunate to have been part of this project and to have worked with such an amazing team.

The Department of Art and Design would like to especially thank Crystal Quintero, Belinda Munoz, Amilia Henkel, Dannielle Rodriguez and Chris Cruz for their help in bringing this event together. In addition, we would like to thank our university president, Joseph I. Castro, and our provost Dr. Saúl

Jiménez-Sandoval for their support and participation in the reception. We would also like to thank the Fresno State Winery for their contribution.
